Help me reach my AV200 fundraising goal!
Hey friends! A lot of you followed along and donated to my training last year for the 200 mile ride through Georgia we call the AV200. Well, obviously, that ride unfortunately never took place thanks to COVID-19. To say I was bummed was an understatement. Training for such an ambitious goal on my 40th year, while meeting a new community of friends came to a screeching halt. Fortunately, I still have the friendships formed (although they've been mostly virtual) and I was able to reach a modified goal of cycling 1,000 miles before the end of 2020.
This year, the AV200 is happening! Albeit in a modified manner, this year, instead of riding 200 miles over 2 days, we'll be riding 25 miles per week for 2 months. This format allows us to hold the event and raise funds while still being COVID compliant. The ride starts the first week of April!
I've set a fundraising goal of $1,500...a quite achievable goal. Help me by making a tax-deductible donation via the link below! And if giving money isn't realistic right now, I sincerely understand. But any amount absolutely helps! 100% of what I raise goes to Atlanta-area AIDS Service Organizations. In its 17 years, the AV200 has raised over $3 million for HIV/AIDS prevention. Thank you so much!
I will be posting training and ride progress as we go through the next couple of months. Also, if you're curious about the ride, this is the best chance ever to join in on the fun. Sign up and ride!
Sincerely
Buzz
